Natural Home Remedies For Dry Skin
Dry skin means abnormally dry skin. Mostly it may cause by a dry climate, winter weather, deficiency of vitamin A, systemic illness and overexposure to sunlight. The skin lose moisture. It happens in the winter when cold air outside and heated air inside, So it may cause low humidity. Dry skin usually occur in your lower legs, arms, flanks. Symptoms are associated with dry skin such as include scaling, itching, cracks in the skin. Dry skin happens, when skin lacks of water and oil. The skin holds a certain amount of water. Water is needed to keep the skin supple. If water content of the skin decrease, then it may causing the skin to become dry or sometimes itchy. Skin has three layers such as include epidermis, deris, subcutaneous layer. Epidermis is a outer layer and it is not thicker that a sheet of paper. Dermis is a thick middle layer and this layer contains collagen and elastin means fiber that give strength to your skin and elasticity. The last one is Subcutaneous layer, which is mainly fat and it is the source of your skin's nerves and blood vessels as well as roots of your hair follocles.
Causes of Dry Skin
- If you are eating poor diet that have nutritional deficiencies, especially deficiencies of vitamin A and the vitamins B can cause to dry skin.
- If you are taking certain drugs such as include Benzoyl Peroxide, Benoxyl, Benzac AC Wash, Benzac W Wash, Benzoyl E and substances or toxins, then it may causes of Dry skin as a symptom.
- When you will combined certain drugs such as include Phenytoin and Levothyroxine interaction, Thyroid and Cholestyramine interaction, medications, substances or toxins may also causing Dry skin as a symptom.
- If season is continuous changing, then it may also cause dry skin.
Home Remedies for Dry Skin
- You should be applied puree made by 1 banana and 1 papaya, peach or avocado and then apply to skin. Leave on for at least 20 minutes then rinse with warm water.
- You can also remove dry skin using paste, made by mixing half teaspoon honey with the yolk of an egg and one table spoon dried milk powder and then apply to the skin. Remove it after 20 minutes with water.
- You can also massage natural mayonnaise, either homemade or from natural foods into skin, leave it for 15-20 minutes, rinse thoroughly with warm water.
- Dry skin may remove by applying 1/2 tsp of rose water to 1 tsp of honey and then gently apply to the face. Leave it for about 15-20 minutes, then wash off with tepid water.
- You can also remove dry skin by massaging face regularly with almond oil or olive oil. Because it will wonder works for dry skin.
- When you are washing the face, then use mineral water instead of tap water.
- When you are going to bath, then you should add 5-6 drops of oat extract or lavender oil to the bathtub.
- You should do aerobic exercise 20 to 30 minutes three times a week. It will give your skin a healthy glow.
